Delete my account
You can delete your ACDEMIC account and the associated personal data, in accordance with Law 8968.
How to request deletion
- 1 Fill out the form with your account email and, optionally, your ID number.
- 2 Our privacy team verifies the request within a maximum of 5 business days.
- 3 You will receive an email confirming that your data has been anonymized or deleted.
What data is deleted and what is retained
We anonymize your personal data (name, ID number, email, phone) within 30 days of the request being confirmed. Associated academic records (grades, attendance, lesson plans) are retained in anonymized form because they belong to the educational institution, in accordance with Costa Rica's Law 8968. If you are a guardian and wish to also request the deletion of data for a student in your care, please indicate this in the reason field.
