Principles we never negotiate.
The rules we build ACDEMIC by. If we ever break them, we stop being who we are.
1. Teachers first
Every product decision starts with one question: does this give teachers time back, or take it away? If it takes it away, it does not ship.
2. MEP-native, no shortcuts
We do not adapt a foreign product. We build on Costa Rican regulation: REAC 2026, lesson planning, accommodations, DVM-AC templates. When the MEP changes, so do we.
3. The judgment is the teacher’s
ACDEMIC proposes; the teacher decides. There are no automatic submissions without review and no free-form prompts to the model. KADE generates from versioned templates, and you sign off.
4. Free for families
Parents and students never pay. Only those who provide education pay: the individual teacher or the institution. It is an irrevocable principle.
5. Privacy by design
We comply with Law 8968. Encrypted data, explicit guardian consent, an audit of every access, and PII redaction before touching any AI model.
