What is the Founder Challenge?

When you sign up for ACDEMIC, if seats are available, you enter the Founder Challenge. It is not a discount for being fast — it is an invitation to prove that ACDEMIC really helps you in the classroom.

You have 30 days to complete 11 real-use milestones. If you complete them, you secure your Founder membership at a special price that stays for life, no matter how much the price rises for new users.

The 11 milestones

They are designed so you go through the teacher’s full cycle in ACDEMIC, not so you make empty clicks:

1. Complete profile — add a photo and bio so parents get to know you.
2. First section — create your first section and start building your digital classroom.
3. Living classroom — link at least one student to your section.
4. First lesson plan — create your first lesson plan.
5. You tried KADE — generate at least one assessment instrument with artificial intelligence.
6. Consistency — record your group’s attendance consistently.
7. First graded activity — create your first graded activity.
8. First result — grade your first activity and close the pedagogical cycle.
9. At my own pace — set your availability for families; your time is your call.
10. First message — send your first message to a family.
11. First appointment — create your first event in the calendar.

The proof of life

At day 7 of the challenge, we check whether you completed at least 2 milestones. If you did not reach that mark, the seat is released automatically — this way we avoid seats being reserved without real intent to use them. If you did complete 2 or more, you continue with the full 30 days.

What happens when you complete the 11 milestones?

When you complete the last milestone, your seat is confirmed. From that moment you have 14 days to activate your Founder membership at the special price. If you do not pay within that window, the seat is released and you can choose any of the available plans.

Why do we do this?

Because we want the first 100 ACDEMIC founders to be teachers who actually use the product — not those who reached a landing page first. A Founder who uses ACDEMIC every day helps us build a better product for every teacher in Costa Rica.

It is our way of saying: if you bet on us, we bet on you.

Challenge rules

• The maximum is 100 seats.
• Seats are personal and non-transferable.
• The challenge window is 30 calendar days from registration.
• The proof of life is at day 7 (minimum 2 milestones).
• If you confirm, you have 14 days to pay at the special price.
• If you do not pay, the seat is released. You can keep using ACDEMIC with the plan you choose.
• If no seat is available when you register, you simply choose a plan.
• ACDEMIC reserves the right to revoke a seat if fraudulent or automated use of the milestones is detected.
